2015 Events
We are excited to announce that in 2015, a new school entered Science Synergy's programs: Martha Washington Elementary. Science Synergy hosted three Science Days throughout the year, one at each participating school. The Martha Washington Elementary Science Day took place on 11/21/14, the Northwood Academy Science Day took place on 2/5/15, and the Cook Wissahickon Science Day took place on 3/11/15. All were great successes! The Martha Washington and Northwood Science Days each had approximately 100 attendees of all ages from the local Philadelphia community, and the Cook Wissahickon Science Day, which occurred during the school day, engaged with over 200 students spanning ages K-8!
The 2015 Science Synergy Invitational took place on May 1st, and had competing teams from Northwood Academy and Cook Wissahickon.
Looking we forward, we aim to increase local community involvement and the number of participating schools in the Science Days and Science Synergy Invitational, ideally without increasing the number of events hosted throughout the year. We hope to at least double the number of teams at the Science Synergy Invitational, and attract more schools to the Science Days from the regions in which they are held.
