2015 science synergy invitational
Science Synergy and iPraxis hosted the second annual Science Synergy Invitational on May 1st, 2015 at Cook Wissahickon Elementary. Due to unfortunate cancellations from other schools, the competition had approximately the same turn out as last year, with around 50 sixth to eighth grade students from Northwood Academy and Cook Wissahickon Elementary. Students brought toothpick egg drops and the critical thinking skills they acquired in their Science Synergy clubs to compete in Aluminum Foil Towers, Design and Create, Science Pictionary, Toothpick Egg Drop, and Science Relay. Harriton High School students and iPraxis scienteers set up the competition, supervised the events, assisted participants, and presented awards. Teams of students who placed in the top 3 in events were awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. Another successful competition, with lots of girl power!
